ABUJA – DIRECTOR General of Department of State Services, DSS, Mr. Lawan Daura, has said that six of the abducted girls of Government Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe state are yet to be accounted for.

The DSS boss who disclosed this while presenting the released 105 abducted girls to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa Abuja on Friday, said that the total number of abducted girls was 111.
He said the only condition for the release of the abducted girls by the Boko Haram insurgents was the demands for cessation of hostilities and temporary ceasefire to enable them return the girls at the point they picked them.
He also said that the insurgents had before releasing the girls demanded assurances that the government security forces would keep to the cessation of hostility agreement.
Daura stated that the exercise towards the release of the abducted girls was arduous and challenging.
