Akure—UNION leaders in Ondo State University of Science and Technology, OSUSTECH, Okitipupa, Ondo State yesterday lampooned a member of the House of Representatives, Mr Bode Ayorinde who moved a motion advising Federal Government to implement the ‘No Work No Pay’ rule over the lingering strike action by the unions.

Ayorinde represents Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The unions include Joint Action Committee of the National Association of Academic Technologists, NAAT, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU and Non-Academic Staff of Universities, NASU.

In a statement by the Chapter Chairman of the University, Comrade Temidayo Temola, the unions urged the lawmaker not to pre-empt the ongoing intervention by the  committee of the House on tertiary institutions.

They called on the state governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to call the lawmaker to order, saying his moves would be resisted by the Union.
