Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Friday Osanebi, has described the Governor of the Year Award bestowed on Dr Ifeanyi Okowa by Independent Newspapers as a reward for hard work, dexterity and prudence.
Also, a DESOPADEC Commissioner, Nnamdi Ezechi, has applauded the award on Okowa for his passion and commitment towards the holistic development of the state, noting that the award has shut the mouth of critics.
Ezechi in a chat in Lagos, said: “Within the space of two years, Governor Okowa has demonstrated an unparalleled passion and zeal to the holistic development of Delta State and the SMART prosperity of Deltans across board.”
On his part, Osanebi in a congratulatory message said the award has once again shown that the developmental strides of Governor Okowa are being appreciated by the people of the state and Nigerians at large.
He described the awards as a reward for excellence, adding: “Your Excellency, through diligence and prudent management of resources, you have practically demonstrated that you are a leader with strange abilities. This award today is indeed a reward of excellence.”
