lagos—A political movement, YES Nigeria Movement, yesterday, said ahead of the 2019 polls, Nigeria needed better and stronger leaders to turn its current challenges to solutions for the development of the country.
The convener, Alistair Soyode, at a briefing in Lagos, urged the electorate to get their voters cards, vote and make the right choice in electing the best candidates for the various leadership positions in the country.
He said: “We have to elect leaders who are able to represent the people. We needed to elect credible leaders to drive our country into a greater position so we can rejoice that things are getting better. What we can actually do was to encourage all the political parties to give slots to emerging leaders that have the quality of leadership and that can do things according to the rules and regulations of our nation.”
He said there was no country without challenge, stating that what Nigeria needs to do is to turn those challenges to solutions, adding that ”What the YES movement does is to bring in new and fresh solutions for political system, with a mandate of national development, socially and economically.”
