Sleep is good for your well-being

No one can cheat nature. You will definitely pay for it. That is why in the New Year, no matter how busy you may be, as Homemakers, create the time to rest. Always have it in mind that if you are not there, things will still work out. Your children will survive if God wants it. Your husband will re-marry if he chooses to.

If you want to continue to be relevant to yourself, your family and the society, do not joke with sleep, especially at night. Every night should not be for vigil.

God – the Lord of the universe – created everything in six days and rested on the seventh. As God, He probably didn’t need to rest. But He took rest, and, in doing so, He gave us a very clear example that we need rest too.

Researchers say quality sleep at the right time can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life and safety.

During sleep, your body is working to support the brain to function and maintain your physical health. In children and teens, sleep helps to support growth.

Research confirmed that sleep deficiency may raise your risk of some chronic health problems and may also affect how well you think, react, work, learn and get along with others.

So, as Homemakers, no matter how busy you are, consciously take sleep as a serious business. Do not make your bedroom an extension of your living room.

Watching movies can assist you to sleep or reading a book but consciously make your bedroom a place to enjoy your sleep and not an extension of your office.

If rest is so hard to find, especially when you are a busy person, find it by making it a priority. When you set aside time for it, it will work.
