Prof. Bichi said 17 of the students (2015/2016) who have completed their mandatory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC will be awarded with the letters at the ceremony while the remaining 23 will get theirs upon completion of their service, NYSC.

He said the decision was in line with the policy of the university to offer automatic employment to First class students.
Prof. Bichi hinted on plans by the institution to relocate to it permanent site in a months time saying it will relocate partially until the institution is provided adequate security such as fencing among others.

He also said that it had taken a bold step to reverse and recall about 250 staffs who he alleged were unjustifiably sacked by the previous Vice Chancellor while also noting that an addition of about 250 academic staffs and 200 non academic staffs were employed to boost the quality of teaching and learning in the institution.
