ABUJA – The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  Thursday commiserated with former Lagos State Governor and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu and his family over the death of his son, Jide.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the party described Jude’s death as “Sad, shocking and very painful,” and prayed God to grant the APC chieftain and members of his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

“We believe that the Almighty God knows the best and understands the circumstances surrounding his sudden departure from us and we pray Him (God), to give his family and the government of Lagos state the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement read.

Jide, the first son of the former governor died on Wednesday in Lagos of heart failure.
