Friends and well-wishers of Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide (MCCSW) converged on its international headquarters last Sunday for the 53rd anniversary of the church, reports SAM EYOBOKA.

Welcoming guests, the Supreme Head/Prelate of the church, Baba Aladura, Dr. Elder Israel Akinadewo, said the anniversary was a testimony to the faithfulness of God to the MCCSW.

The church, he said, has come a long way and will remain committed to ‘’spiritual revival and human capital investment in a selfless and radical manner.’’

Akinadewo assured that MCCSW will not compromise on the traditions and practices of the Aladura movement in line with biblical provisions.

The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle congratulated the church for the milestone.

He acknowledged the commitment of MCCSW to the expansion of the gospel and charity, saying the church would certainly impact more lives.

He congratulated Baba Aladura Akina-dewo, describing him as a ‘’friend and brother,’’ a courageous minister of the gospel with a passion for souls.

Ayokunle, who was the guest preacher, ministered on ‘’The hidden treasures’’.

He urged Christians to dare to explore all the potentials of God within them for maximum impact.

He said those who belittle the investments and grace of God upon their lives will die full of regrets without significant contributions.

According to him: ‘’If you don’t treasure the values of God in your life, you will suffer here and hereafter.

‘’Learn to place value on what you have. Delay is dangerous. Take advantage of the opportunities today to become what you should be tomorrow.’’

He lamented that many Christians were dying unfulfilled because they didn’t discover the gifts of God upon their lives.

Nigeria, Ayokunle said, will change for good the day Christians discover their gifts and deploy them.

He challenged all Christians to stop at nothing to discover and deploy their gifts, saying that is the surest way to pleasing God and helping humanity.

‘’Let others see Jesus in you. If all Christians in Nigeria were light indeed, we’d chase away all the darkness in this country sooner than we think,’’ he stressed.

Ayokunle later led the church to cut the 53rd anniversary cake, urging members not to be distracted but remain committed to serving God and humanity.
