Propaganda and lies can’t save Obiano from losing election — PDP Chieftain

Propaganda and lies can’t save Obiano from losing election — PDP Chieftain

Chief Willie Obiano

Eselu Onyii Esiaka is an organizer by nature, having been part of several groups and forum.

Currently, he is President of Ogbaru Solidaity Forum and a PDP Chieftain in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra state famed to be the most populous LGA in the state with winning voter indices.

Obiano

Esiaka from Ogwuaniocha is one of the pivots of the Oseloka Obaze campaign and has been screaming to all ears that listen that Obiano will never win the coming election especially in Ogbaru because according to him he has not performed to earn a second term adding that Obaze is a better and well qualified candidate.

What does this fast approaching Governorship election in Anambra state mean to you?

This election means much to me because It would either move us forward or keep Anambra retarded for good. The forces of mediocrity are battling with the forces of light. How can a man let the light of development handed to him by his predecessor quench in his hands? The past three years and more has been a hell in Anambra state and a change is required.

My call upon Anambra people is for them to look at the candidates and make the right choice which an illustrious Obaze represents. A man who did not do anything with his mandate in the past three years cannot perform any miracles in the nearest future. Obaze is the future of Anambra state and I strongly believe so.

Obaze has been criticized for being too aloof during his days as SSG…It must be tough answering questions about what he has done for his people as SSG?

Those who criticize Oseloka  Obaze are some of those few who are currently benefitting from the nefarious system that has not benefitted the generality of Anambra people including Ogbaru people. They are the numerous SAs from the towns whose roads have not been touched since Peter Obi and the Obaze’s were close to government that had equity as watch word. Since former governor Peter Obi  left power, the state has been misrun.

The stretch of road from Uga junction and Okpoko down through odekpe, Atani till Ogwu Aniocha where I come from  is famed to be the most populous LGA in Anambra state with over 100,000 votes.

It is part of Anambra North which produced Governor Wilie Obiano of APGA and Senator Stella Oduah of the PDP. But the government has not impacted on us in the past three and half years and I believe the voting pattern would change this time around.

I don’t think that any right thinking person from Ogbaru would vote Obiano again because he has not performed and more so their erudite son Oseloka Henry Obaze is contesting and has the huge capacity to turn our fortunes around.  He is indeed a pride for every Ogbaru man.

You have been battling what you call “cheap lies and propaganda” from the other camp…how are you coping?

No amount of propaganda will save Obiano during the coming election because he has not performed to earn a single vote. But we don’t mind them. Propaganda will lead them nowhere. Everyone in Nigeria knows that Governor Obiano burnt down the treasury of Anambra state as boosted by Peter Obi since he came into power. He has employed the use of propaganda as his main tool but the world knows better. How can a governor be claiming projects he never executed? He was booed at Iyiowa Odekpe  a few days ago for alluding to himself projects he did not execute.

How could they have fished out an old interview by Chief Alex Ekwueme to promote as today’s feeling of the elder statesman who is a founding father of PDP just as his daughter is in the race as Deputy Governorship candidate?

They even went to Agulu, home of Peter Obi to lie. Who knows the next lies they would concoct? It is very unfortunate because they believe Anambra people are fools who don’t know when blatant lies are told against them.

We have seen that it was a mistake that we made and it is time for Obiano to go as he left Anambra more impoverished than he met it.

He did not initiate any new good projects neither did he complete the ones he met on ground. Anambra state people have said it is unacceptable. Enough is enough.
