THE Alliance for Democracy, AD, Candidate, Udoka Obiji Gabriel has pleaded with the people of the state to give women a chance by voting for her. Mrs Gabriel, the only female candidate for the forthcoming election, spoke after reeling out her 9-point agenda for the state. She listed law and order, institution of governance, commerce and Industry, free education at all levels, free healthcare, erosion control, mass housing, information and technology, as well as youth and sports development as areas she would accord priority, if elected.

YENAGOA—MINISTER of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, has said that plans were underway by the Federal Government to establish an Oil and Gas Equipment and Machinery Development Institute in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, as part of efforts by the current administration to move the economy from resource to knowledge based economy.
