Leicester City’s clash with Bournemouth today is a must-win, defender Danny Simpson has stated.
City, who parade three Nigerian players, comprising Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa, have lost four of their first six games, but they have suffered narrow defeats to Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool after producing decent performances.
But Simpson said it is now a case of points over plaudits.
“If we perform like we have done against these top teams, we have to go there and win,” he said. “We have to. It is as simple as that.
“We have to start picking up points and wins away from home because we know how good we are at home. Away from home was one of our problems last season.
“We will go to Bournemouth who are having an indifferent times themselves, so the pressure is going to be on them if anything. They are at home.
“We will go there and if we leave everything on the pitch like we have done (against Liverpool) we will get the three points.”
