Vanguard gathered that all things been equal the Assembly may be through with both the committee and plenary screening mid next week and thereafter give their nods to the nominees of the governor.

The swearing-in of the 18 commissioners, according to reliable source may hold before Friday next week.

Meanwhile, while the first hurdle had been crossed the portfolios to be given to the nominees is now the talk in town.

While the governor has the sole prerogative to assign the portfolios, political observers believed that the antecedents of some of the nominees who were former commissioners in the past administration will dictate what they will get.
