Police arrest three in connection with killing of two custom officers

KATSINA – Three persons were reported to have been arrested by the men of the Katsina Police Command in connection with killing of two custom officers in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gambo Isah who disclosed the arrest also confirmed that a Deputy Commissioner of Police have been deployed to Daura zone over the development.

The two custom officers were reportedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen late hours of Sunday night while on patrol duty in Dogon Hawa, Shargele in Dutsi local government area and along Daura – Katsina road.

DSP Isah said the police on top of the situation as investigation are on to fish out the perpetrators of the evil act.

He said a police patrol was mobilised to the scene were three motorcycles and a military belt were recovered from the suspects.

The Custom officers killed were identified as ASC Babandi Nurudeen and CSC Maidamma Yabo.
