KANO – Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganudje of Kano state Sunday evening tasked the national leader of All Progressive Congress, (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to joined forces towards sustaining the unity of Nigeria.
Dr Ganduje who spoke in his office when he received the former Lagos state Governor urged him to continue to work hard to maintain peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

Ganduje said “the strength of Nigeria as a nations is accrued from its diversity”, stressing on the essence for respected political leaders to work towards sustenance of the source of greatness through pursing Nigeria’s continuous co- existence.
Ganduje said, “the synchronization of the differences of those segments that constitute Nigeria will usher Nigeria on the path that would lead to its equaling known great nations across the globe.”
Ganduje stated that “Maitama Sule was an evangelist of unity in diversity,” he therefore appealed to Asiwaju Tinubu to followed the same path, saying “there is a trait that reveals that, he is also an unrepentant believer in the beliefs of Maitama on issues bordering on national unity”.
Asiwaju Tinubu earlier in his speech told the governor, that his visit to Kano is to commiserate with the government and people of Kano over the demise of Yusuf Maitama Sule.
In a session with Reporters shortly after the courtesy call, Tinubu said the face off between the legislature and Executive arm of government at the Federal level as normal in a democracy.
He said, “debate, argument, and communication are a part of the pillars of democracy and politics in its entirety.”
Tinubu emphasized in the interest of good governance both arms of government must work together to ensure the delivery of the dividend of democracy.
The APC leader who declined to specifically comment on president Muhammadu Buhari’s health status and the exact date of his possible return to Nigeria, urged Nigerians to be their brothers keepers.
“the president did not lie to Nigerians, continue to pray for him” he noted.
