What is the work of God? Who knows the work of God? Some people would say God heals, protects, provides, guides, saves people etc. What God does in a nutshell is that He maintains people. The maintenance of people involves all that is mentioned above. People make requests from God and He grants the requests.

Despite granting people’s requests some people still abuse God. They would utter unpleasant statements about their lives; lives God created. Invariably they are abusing the work of God who owns people’s lives. God owns everything; including your life. If He likes, He would allow wizard and witches to torment you because everything belongs to Him.

The Bible says in Amos 3:6: “if a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?” Imagine the story of Job; God gave Satan authority and power to inflict pain, suffering on Job. The same God made Job to be wealthy and also face the wrath of Satan (Job 1&2).

After Job’s affliction and suffering the same God restored all the lost things to Job in multiple folds when he was found upright and trustworthy.

Similarly God sent Prophet Isaiah to King Hezekiah who was ill to the point of death that he should put his house in order because he was going to die and would not recover. But King Hezekiah’s misfortune was reverted by the same God when the king prayed, wept bitterly and reminded God how he was faithful and devoted wholeheartedly to God. He healed him and elongated his life with 15 years (Isaiah 38:1-5)

These two stories show that everything belongs to God even death, and does whatever He likes.

In furtherance to God’s un-questionable power, the bible says in Romans 9:15: ”I will have mercy on whom I have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion”.

The implication of the verse is that God shows mercy to a person that has plenty food and the person having little food. God does things in His own way and under-standing. Imagine God told Rebecca that her elder child will serve the younger one – Esau and Jacob.

So He has absolute power to do anything that nobody can question. Therefore I implore you to know that when you examine and reflect on your life, and the position you are presently, know it is by God’s power. He knows you more than you know yourself. Just know that God understands everything, He knows the situation you are passing through.

So watch your utterances and avoid abusing or slandering God because He knows you. God does whatever He likes. He allowed Satan to put fake vision into the eyes of Prophets that gave king Ahab fake prophecy that he would win the war.

The same God made Prophet Micah to tell the king that he would be killed in the war. Prophet Micah was imprisoned because he had never seen any favourable vision for king Ahab (I Kings 22). But the king did not survive the war. He was killed according to Prophet Micah.

God owns the truth and deceit. The problem with people is that we exceed our bound with our tongue. The tongue is the most dangerous thing and it implicates us. So most of our pronouncements and deed are sins. Therefore people should be careful in their utterances.

Brethren whatever situation you are experiencing whether pleasant or unpleasant situation, God Almighty understands. Imagine a man wanted to eat yam porridge he prepared. When information came to him that his friend had collapsed and was rushed to hospital. This man had wanted to eat porridge a week ago, he left the food and started going to the hospital on his way he knocked down a school food vendor carrying a bowl of porridge.

He requested the food vendor the cost of the porridge so that he could pay for it. But the food vendor did not collect money for the food. Getting to the hospital, the resident doctor happened to be his friend. Then he was told that the collapsed man was okay and doing fine. After seeing his friend on sick bed, he went to meet the doctor in his residence who was about to have a meal. The doctor friend requested that his friend should be served the same meal.

When the man opened the cover of his dish, it was the same porridge and crayfish he had wanted to eat before the news of his collapsed friend came.

God understands how the scenario came about. In the same vein, a widower was dating a prostitute. The lady got pregnant and the man refused to accept the pregnancy because he discovered later that the lady was a prostitute. The lady tried to let the man have a change of mind. However the lady was always coming into his mind.

Several months later the lady delivered male twins carbon copy of this man who had two daughters from his first and second late wives. Since the twins were born his fortune has increased multiple folds. He rented an apartment for the lady and twins. The man requested to bring the twins and their mother home.

I advised him to do so. He asked about his late wives, I told him God knows better and understands. Therefore what is it that God does not know? He understands the position you are and the problems confronting you. What is required of you is to say God you under-stand, have mercy on me.
