Gunmen invade Ogun politician’s house

ABEOKUTA—Pandemonium broke out in Olomore, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, weekend, when some suspected thugs reportedly attacked the home of a political leader in the state, Kayode Akinleye alias Issakaba, leaving his elder brother, Ishola Akinleye with serious injury.

Akinleye was said to have served as a councillor of Ward 12 in Abeokuta South Local government between 2012 and 2015.

Vanguard learned that the hoodlums, numbering about 10, reportedly invaded the bungalow residence of the politician at around 10p.m., on Saturday.

The politician, who confirmed the incident, said he had asked his brother, who sustained gunshot injury, to report the matter to the police.
