Rainoil donates back-to-school kits to schools

RAINOIL Limited, an integrated downstream oil and gas company had donated branded school bags and writing materials to primary school pupils of some selected schools in Lagos and Akwa Ibom State, as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility for 2016.

The selected schools and items donated are, Mafoluku Primary School and Oshodi Primary School, in Lagos, received a total of 535 bags filled with stationery; St. Patricks Primary School, Iboko Offot and St. Michael Primary School, Effiat Offot, both in Uyo, received 500 bags containing writing materials; Holy Family Nursery and Primary School, Ikom and PCN Primary School, Nde, Ikom LGA.,Akwa Ibom State, received  1000 branded school bags with writing materials.

Welcoming representatives of the Oil giant to Mafoluku Primary  school, Head teacher, Mr. M.C. Egemba lauded the oil company for its kind gesture and for choosing the school. He said: “We are grateful beyond words, Rainoil has put smiles on the faces of everyone here. On behalf of the school and parents of these kids, we say thank you so much for making us smile.”

At Oshodi Primary School, the Head teacher, Mrs. Adeleye M.A. Said: ‘’On behalf of the school, we want to thank the management of Rainoil for these donations. We really appreciate it, as these items will be very useful to these kids, many of whom need this kind of support to be able to achieve their dreams in life.”

Rainoil Limited, known for its robust corporate social responsibility project, operates a number of different programmes and initiatives aimed at positively impacting host communities some of which includes, financial supports to orphanages, corporate volunteer services , sport sponsorship, education grants and scholarship scheme for indigent Nigerians.
