Yahaya-Bello

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, who clocked one year in office yesterday, took stock of his administration’s leadership in the Confluence State of Nigeria and delivered a verdict on his government, saying they had made steady progress within the short period.
Bello, who addressed stakeholders in the state, also highlighted the major projects and programmes carried out by his government and enumerated the key ones that had been outlined for implementation as the administration enters its second year, warning however that there would be no room for corruption under his leadership.
The governor pointed out that Kogi, like the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government came into office at a time when bad management had virtually ruined the economy but praised the new administration for bending down to rebuild the system for the good of all.

Bello said, “The APC came to power at probably the worst time, socio-economically speaking, for Nigeria and Nigerians. Instead of a house with strong vitals requiring routine maintenance, the APC has had to contend with rebuilding a nation whose very foundation and superstructure have been compromised by years of bad management.
“Nevertheless, the Governing Party continues to demolish institutionalised errors and to replace them with new and better ways of doing things.
“In Kogi State, we too have met our challenges with courage. Faced with crumbling social and economic infrastructure, the New Direction Administration which I lead has folded its sleeves and gotten down to the job of rebuilding our state and improving the lives of our citizens.
