CHURCH organisations have been enjoined to set up modalities through which they would continue to impart their society positively, especially their host communities.

The Pastor-in-charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 37, Pastor Ben-jamin Ajayeoba made the call at the inauguration of a block of four classrooms at Abati Nursery and Primary School, Akowonjo in Lagos, which was renovated by the church under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

Pastor Ajayeoba urged church organisations to take a cue from how Jesus Christ went about His earthly ministry, positively affecting people’s lives as attested to by Acts:10:38. He maintained that it is the responsibility of the Church to seek ways of alleviating the sufferings of the people in their environments as its capacity would permit.

Speaking on the classrooms renovated for the school, Pastor Ajayeoba said the gesture was the vision of the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye which was aimed at giving back to every community where the church was cited.

He said with the renovation, some of the students of the school would have a conducive classroom to learn.

The pastor-in-charge of Solomon’s Porch Area who is also the Assistant Pastor-in-charge of RCCG LP 37, Pastor Olajide Oluwayemi explained that the church decided to renovate the classrooms which were dilapidated for the comfort of the students.

An official of Alimosho local government Education Authority Project Unit, Mr. Kolawole Makanjuola thanked the church for its gesture, stating that the renovated classrooms would go a long way at improving the lot of the pupils, assuring that the government would ensure that the facility was properly put to use.
