OIL and gas servicing firm, Eunisell Group has opened talks with Rivers United about shirt sponsorship contract renewal.
In a statement issued by the shirt sponsor, the company said it will put into consideration a number of factors which include the performance of the defunct Sharks FC with which the initial agreement was signed with in the last season before a decision is made.
According to the Communications Manager of the energy firm, Mr Kunmi Balogun, “we have started speaking with the management of Rivers United and we should arrive at a conclusion by the end of next week. Although a few things have changed since we signed the initial contract, we will discuss all of these with the club management and identify how to further support them”.
It will be recalled that the contract, with an undisclosed value was signed mid 2014/2015 season with then Port Harcourt side, Sharks FC but was transferred to Rivers Utd following the relegation of Sharks to the lower division at the end of last season.
