OZORO—THE Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli, yesterday, restated his determination to build bridges of unity, love and peace across all ethnic nationalities in Delta State.

Speaking at the palace of HRM Anthony Ibuka I, the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state, HRM Ikenwoli, advised against rancour and mutual suspicion which he said were inimical to the development of any state.

“God wants us to be united and peaceful so that development can come to our areas,” he said, adding “I want to be a bridge builder. I want to build a bridge of love and peace among all the ethnic nationalities.”

He advised Deltans to support the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, to bring development to all parts of the state.

Thanking the people of the kingdom and the Isoko ethnic nationality for the rousing reception accorded him during the visit, he described his visit to the area as home coming, adding: “When you visit someone from another ethnic nationality, you do not know what to expect. You have demonstrated love.”

Emphasizing the need for the people of Itsekiri and Isoko nations to sustain the primordial relationship between the ethnic nationalities which he said had spanned many centuries, the Olu noted that his visit was part of his thank you visit to those who supported him during his coronation.

Earlier in his remarks, the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, HRM Ibuka I, described the visit of the Olu of Warri as an affirmation of the age long relationship between the people of Itsekiri and Isoko ethnic nationalities.
