PORT HARCOURT— GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike has again, reiterated alleged plan by the Rivers State Police Command to rig the coming rerun elections, threatening to release a video of how the Police allegedly intend to rig the election.

Gov. Wike
However, state Commissioner of Police, Mr Francis Odesanya, has dared the governor to release the alleged video, saying it would only be proper for him to say anything after the video had been released.
According to him: “Ask them to produce it before I respond. The last time, he said policemen had been withdrawn from him but I saw him on television with policemen behind him. This one, tell them I cannot respond until I see the video. There is what we call no case submission. This is when somebody alleges without proof. I cannot respond to something I have not seen. When I see it I will respond. So let them release the video.”
But the governor, yesterday, while flagging off rehabilitation of General Hospital, Abonnema, headquarters of Akuku Toru Local Government Area, said: “We are now in possession of the DVD of how the Police Commissioner and some politicians were planning on how to rig the forthcoming legislative re-run elections in Rivers State. At the appropriate time, we shall release the materials for Nigerians to understand the depth of the electoral fraud being perpetrated by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the Police.”
