They still owe me for the first operation – Robbery suspect

one of the four traders in Alaba International Market, Ojo area of Lagos, arrested by the Commissioner of Police X-Squad for robbery, have said his ‘business asociates’ still owe him for an earlier operation.

The suspects also disclosed that they used acid to destroy the padlock of the warehouse they robbed.

The suspects, according to a police source, were arrested for breaking into a shop in the market where they carted away 427 cartoons of electric bulb worth N19.1 million.

The suspects, whose names were given as Rufus Agobie, alias Aboy, 24, from Anambra West; Ifeanyi Eze, 30, from Okigwe, Imo State; Tochukwu Akaolisa, 25, from Nnewi, Anambra State, and Ndubuisi Egwuatuonwu, 24, were arrested at different locations.

Rufus said: “From the first and second operations, we got 152 cartoons. I was given just N50,000 for this last operation. They still owe me for the first one.”
