Cameroon coach boost Eagles confidence ahead Algeria tie

Cameroon coach Hugo Broos has given the Super Eagles confidence ahead of their  clash  with the Fennecs of Algeria in next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo.

Broos who led his side to a 1-1 draw away to Algeria in Bilda last Sunday hinted that  Algeria  are not strong at the back.

Nigeria’s attack of Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Odion Ighalo would look to exploit these weaknesses playing in front of their home crowd

“Frankly, I expected more from an Algerian team but they showed a lot of weaknesses on the defensive.

“We created dangerous situations that could have been profitable if we had been more accurate. We must also recognize that the  Algerian  team rushed us early in the game, “ Broos told

Dinamo Zagreb forward, Hilal Soudani, gave  Algeria  the lead in the seventh minute but his goal was cancelled out by Benjamin Moukandjo.

The Belgian coach however rued his side’s inability to snatch a late winner to tie Nigeria at the top of the group.

Nigeria currently lead Group B with three points while  Algeria  and Cameroun are second and third respectively. Zambia are rock bottom after losing their opening game to Nigeria.
