The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN) has elected a new national leader who succeeds The Most Rev. Emele Mba Uka, whose six-year tenure has ended.
He is Most Rev. Nzie Nsi Eke, who was unanimously elected as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the church at the 22nd General Assembly meeting held recently at the Lagos Presbyterian Church, Yaba, Lagos.
Born on September 25, 1952, Most Rev. Nzie Eke was licensed at Hope Waddell Chapel, Calabar, on July 1982 and was ordained at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Uwani, Enugu, in July 1983.
He attended Trinity (Union) Theological College, Umuahia; the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN), Bukuru, Jos and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Divinity; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (Minnesota, USA), a Post-Graduate Certificate in Crisis Management (Minnesota, USA) and a Master of Arts degree in Religion.
Most Rev. Eke is happily married to Elder Chinyere.
