Despite the official sharp increase in pump price of fuel from N86.50 to N145 in May this year, the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, has reported that pump prices were significantly above N145 in 28 states in the month of July 2016.

LAGOS—Operatives of the X-Squad Department of the Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, have arrested two dismissed policemen, who extort money from commercial bus drivers, posing to be serving policemen, and three suspected members of a syndicate that posed as officials of the Lagos and Ogun state’s governments to collect revenue from motorists.
