In a bid to drive financial inclusion and increase economic growth, BankOne, a flagship product of AppZone limited now allows MFB customers open accounts and receive their personalized debit cards instantly either on the field or in branches.

Announcing this innovation in Lagos last week; Group Head, Business Development, Mr AdelanaAdewusi said the introduction of instant card issuance is in line with AppZone’s mission which is to create technology that empowers people with unlimited access to quality financial services.

Micro-finance banks can now meet and surpass customers’ expectations. According to him, “the long wait for card issuance has been eliminated by BankOne and we hope to continually develop innovative products that will help service the unbanked and under-banked in Nigeria and Africa at large”.He stated that the instant debit card is easy to obtain as Customers can get them by making requests at MFB branches or on the field from MFB agents.

Upon each request, a card is immediately prepared and handed to the customer within a few minutes.

This service is increasingly being seen to have placed MFB customers on the same level as their peers who bank with commercial banks since it addresses the need for accessible and convenient banking via electronic means. Asides ATMs, the cards issued can be used for payment on POS terminals in Nigeria and across the world. They can also be used to purchase goods and services on websites and portals of both local and International merchants.
