HUMAN right activist and lawyer, Comrade Femi Aborisade, yesterday, condemned the sack of a female lecturer, Dr. Adenike Ogunshe, by management of the University of Ibadan (UI), describing it as unjust, unlawful and wrongful.

In a letter to UI Registrar and Secretary to Council, Aborisade explained that the lecturer on June 23, 2016 received her termination letter from the University Council, despite her appeal, which pointed out several issues of unfairness.

The letter dated August 19, 2016, stated that Dr. Ogunshe was never given any written report of the case, complaint or allegation against her by the complainant in her case, contrary to the express provisions of sections 8.1.5(a) (i) and 8.1.5 (e) of the Staff Handbook: Rules and Regulations Governing Condition of Service of Senior Staff, August, 2003, made pursuant to the enabling law of the University of Ibadan Act.
