JYB TV Channel 361 on Startimes is offering an exciting platform for talent discovering for school children, according to the Chief Operating Officer of the channel, Stephen Ologeh.
Ologeh said “the program is a summer film camp organized by his JYB TV to occupy students during the long holiday break. He explained the activities of the 20-day program. Activities in Child TV Station, video games, sports and film production.
“Participating students will be assisted to make their own films which would be screened for friends and family on the final day of the event. Students are going to be group into two teams- Production and Acting/Presenting”.
The youthful coo of JYB TV said the event is a unique opportunity for the children to “eat, sleep, breathe film and television”.
He said the youths have a real treat ahead as his station has packaged a series of programme to meet their needs.
One of such program is “SCHOOL ON TV” School on T.V is divided into two – Academic and Extra-curricular.
School on T.V academic is a program designed to provide viewers with well – detailed lessons on major academic subjects. It is specifically for students preparing for exams such as JAMB, WAEC, GCE, and NECO. School T.V extra-curricular provides viewers with detailed lessons in activities beyond conventional academics such as music, fashion, design, art and craft.
“The programme provides a platform for creative youths who own their businesses or are making a living for themselves engaging in the creative industries. The programme aims to expose and encourage youths with some level of skill or technical ability already navigating their way in the following industries: Fashion, Art, Design, Music (production preferably), film, writing, creative blogging, performing art, curating, theatre, photography,” he said.
