‘DS-IHUB to aid disruptive technology processes

THE Director General of DS Innovation Hub, DS-IHUB, Mr. Chris Uwaje has said that the capacity building centre is expected to encourage disruptive technology processes, retool the workforce and develop a creative capacity of new-thinkers.

The centre will serve as a disruptive technology platform for re-engineering the blueprint for smarter processes, more effective leadership and governance for inclusive public service, the DS-IHUB is classified as the metropolis of smarter ideas, creativity and a distinct catalyst for new thinking, values, renewable entrepreneurial leadership and constructive governance.

Delta State government, Uwaje’s state of origin, expressed satisfaction that he has distinguished himself in the advocacy and promotion of science, technology & innovation (STI) in Nigeria, Africa and the world. Uwaje however, said that wealth and international competitiveness will be significantly influenced by the ability to develop and exploit intellectual property (IP) by harnessing the power of information technology (IT).

The DS Innovation Hub, according Uwaje, is the ultimate experience and world class destination for new knowledge-centered innovation and adventure in creativity.

The Hub which is a Private-Public Partnership (PPP) Platform for the promotion of Technology innovation, he said was accredited through peer review, as the first Knowledge-Innovation and Science & Technology Park in the South-South of Nigeria. Expected to positively disrupt the existing status quo in Asaba, the capital of city of  Delta State, he said that the hub is classified as the metropolis of smarter ideas, creativity and a distinct catalyst for new thinking, values, renewable entrepreneurial leadership and constructive governance.

According to Uwaje, the hub would provide expertise in Science, Innovation and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) policy roadmap – incorporating implementation strategy advice on new processes and emerging approaches to conceptualization, application and usage of ICT to respond to critical challenges.
