Onuesoke condemns ‘do-or-die’ politics

By Ephraim Oseji

Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain,   Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has condemned the ‘do or die’  attitude of some Nigerian politicians.

Onuesoke made the condemnation  at Ughelli, Delta State, during PDP ward and  local government congresses, adding that the attitude was a threat to democracy.

He said politics was about how to regulate the economy to the benefit of the common man. “We’re supposed to live together as one, because politics is about creating institutions for good governance, not for anticipated investment for future individual interest,”the chieftain said.

“I am a proponent of political tolerance. Politics is not a do-or-die affair. My humble self and our great party, the PDP, are in politics to make friends not enemies, to build not to destroy and to give life not take life.”
