Anisulowo: Ogun police promise N5m reward to informant

ABEOKUTA—Seven days after former  Minister of State for Education, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, was abducted,  the Ogun State Police Command has offered a N5m reward to any informant, who can offer useful information to the police that  can lead to her  rescue.

Senator Anisulowo, who represented Ogun West senatorial district at the Senate between 2003 and 2007, was kidnapped by  four gunmen on Sawonjo-Imasayi Road last Wednesday,  on her way from her farm.

The state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, disclosed this, yesterday,  in Abeokuta after a security  meeting with some officers of the command and security chiefs.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in  a statement, said other  security chiefs present at the meeting include the Commander 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Alamala, Abeokuta, Brig. Gen. S Danwalis and the Director of Department of State Service in the state, Mr. Kabir Sanni.

Adejobi reported that the state Police Commissioner, Abdulmajid Ali , appealed  to the public to support  the police and give useful information that could assist in the rescue of the kidnapped victim.
