Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State,  has alleged that some All Progressives Congress, APC, politicians of Ogoni extraction were planning to use military helicopters to bomb some parts of Ogoni communities suspected to be base for those perceived to be opposed to their political ambitions.

The PDP described the move as desperate and unfair to the citizens of Ogoni.

State Chairman of PDP, Mr Felix Obuah, in a statement by his media aide in Port Harcourt, yesterday, said that the party has it on good authority that APC was trying to eliminate those perceived to be stumbling blocks in their political aspiration.

He said: “The information has it that the operation will be carried out in the guise of raiding criminal hideouts but the actual motive is to target and eliminate those perceived to be stumbling blocks to the realisation of their political aspiration and victory of the APC in the area.”
