*Odubu

THERE are indications that the leadership of the APC in Edo State will intensify the peace moves geared towards mending fences between Governor Adams Oshiomhole and his deputy Dr Pius Odubu.
The peace move spearheaded by the Commissioner for Works in the state, Osarodion Ogie, was initiated with a view to douse tension in the party ahead the primaries of the party come June.
Odubu is a strong contender in the race the Osadebey Avenue and efforts are being made to ensure he does not clash with his boss Oshiomhole, who is backing the aspiration of the chairman of the Economic Team of the state Government, Mr Godwin Obaseki.
The relationship between the duo had broken down due to their different views on the succession Vanguard learnt that another meeting between the leaders is scheduled for Thursday this week. The two met last week during which both raised up issues with Odubu accusing the governor of marginalising him, his office and his associates. Oshiomhole, however, surprised the trouble-shooters with his allegation that Odubu had arranged to kill him through diabolical means, the reason for which the governor gave for his continued refusal to go to his deputy’s house.
