By Oghene Omonisa

A traditional ruler in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State, Chief Omotayo Adeboye, has donated laptops, stationeries and food items to pupils and a charity home in the community.

Chief Adeboye, who is the Baale of Idioyin Imoke community in Ibeju, said the gesture was borne out of his desire to reach out to the needy in his domain.

He said: “I am only trying to give back to the less privileged in the society from the little resources that God has given me. I want to call on well meaning individuals to also take a cue from this initiative and help the needy in our community. I hope to sustain this initiative annually and give hope to the hopeless in my domain.”

The monarch, assisted by his wife, Arafat, and community leaders distributed branded stationeries to students of Ibeju Junior Secondary School and handed N1million cheque to the management of a private school, Moas Nursery and Primary School, to assist in the renovation of the school.
