ASABA—The suspended member representing Isoko South II constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Johnson Erijo, has dissociated himself from the litigation by a group of persons against the state legislature over his suspension from the House.

Erijo, in a statement, said he knew nothing about Mr Ernest Osima and three others who dragged the House and its leadership to court over his suspension, adding that as a law abiding citizen of Nigeria and an experienced legislator, he always abides by the rules, including rules and regulations guiding the state House of Assembly.

The lawmaker, who was suspended from sitting alongside the member representing Oshimili North, Mrs Pat Ajudua, for two months, said, “Despite the group’s notice of discontinuation of the litigation, I completely dissociate myself from the said litigation.”

Erijo assured that he will always accord due respect to the government of the day, led by Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
