Sharks
Sharks Sunday continued to swim further out of troubled waters following their 2-0 spanking of title-chasing Wikki Tourist in Port Harcourt.
And it seems that Sharks new-found winning rhythm is not unconnected to the cash for goals promise that their official shirt sponsors, Eunisell Nigeria Limited made to the team on Friday, when it promised to repay the players for every goal scored in a move to steer the club further way from the relegation zone.
And reacting to the latest win, Eunise’s Marketing Communications Manager, Kunmi Balogun, said it was heartening that the club heeded the clarion call to score goals for cash reward.
“It is obvious that this has had its positive effect on the team as the Garden City was agog by the victory the team recorded over visiting Wikki Tourists. The game ended 2-0 in favour of Sharks with goals from Aremu Afeez and Christian Pyagbara. We are happy with their performance”.
Sharks now have 39 points and are 16th on the table.
