Bauchi—Gunmen suspected to be fraudsters have killed a businessman in Bauchi State.
According to a press statement by the Acting State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Adulrahaman Ahmed, the gunmen accosted their victim, one Idris Mai Dawa of Gwalaga ward, along Lere junction in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the state and shot him.
The statement said after the gunmen killed their victim, they dispossessed him of a huge amount of money and absconded to an unknown destination.
The statement read: ‘’It is in the light of this development that the state police command is warning members of the public to be cautious of fraudsters, especially those who engage in the sale of foreign currencies.
“Members of the public are, hereby, advised to report any person or group of people with suspicious character to the nearest Police Station.”
