‘Election’ll be based on performance’

The Labour Party candidate for Amac Bwari Federal constituency, Chief Johnson Anene, has said the choice of who represents the constituen-cy at the 8th National Assembly will be based on performance and capacity to deliver and not on party or ethnic sentiments.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja through his Director of Campaign, Chief Okey  Nwoke, Anene lamented the poor representation  of  the constituency, noting that the present representatives had not done much in affecting the lives of people in the Federal Capital Territory.

He said he was better equipped to address the problems of the two area councils if elected, adding that his party had robust policies in tackling the twin problems of unemployment and poverty through its empowerment and skill acquisition programmes.

Anene said: “I will utilize constituency funds at my disposal to empower women, youths and the elderly through elaborate people-oriented policies and programmes within the Amac/Bwari federal constituency.”

He debunked reports that a particular candidate had been endorsed, adding that the Igbo in the FCT were yet to adopt any candidate.
