Why I want to unseat Amosun, by UPN candidate

By Daud Olatunji

ABEOKUTA—The governorship candidate of Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN, Prince Rotimi Paseda yesterday, promised to implement free healthcare programme and provide social security for the senior citizens in Ogun State if elected governor at the February election.

Paseda said he desired to unseat the incumbent governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun in the coming governorship election so as to implement Awolowo legacies on education, health and others.

Paseda stated this, yesterday, at the UPN party secretariat, Onikolobo in Abeokuta shortly after he received the party flag from the interim national chairman of the party Dr. Manzo Abubakar.

He said that apart from making education free at all levels in the state which he promised to announce during his inaugural speech, he also pledged to devote special attention to the welfare of the aged.

The United Kingdom-based business said he would set aside special fund in form of social security as it is done in developed nations where those who have laboured to develop the land would have a befitting old age.
