ELECTION: Fayose warns against Obasanjo’s ‘antics’

ADO EKITI—Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, has warned Nigerians to beware of the banana peel being thrown on their path by former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the nation prepares for next month’s presidential election.

Fayose who said the North deserved to present a better candidate among the myriad of brilliant and intellectuals they have and not old horse like the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari whose state of health is a concern to all Nigerians.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti by the governor yesterday, he said Nigerians should be wary of the former president’s intention regarding who should be elected president during the election.

According to Fayose, Obasanjo should also be watched for his romance with some leaders in the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, despite claiming to be a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

“Nigerians should be wary of Obasanjo’s banana peel. He was the one who put forward Umar Yar ‘Adua as the president knowing the man’s state of health and the man died in office.”
