2015 POLLS: I won’t step down, Mrakpor insists

By Festus Ahon

ASABA—CANDIDATE of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency, Delta State, Mrs. Onyeamaechi Mrakpor, yesterday, insisted that she will not step down from the race no matter the blackmail.

In a chat with newsmen at her campaign office in Asaba, she alleged that there had been series of subtle moves by the incumbent member representing the constituency, who was unsuccessful at the PDP governorship primaries, for her to step down from the race for him.

She said: “He has been asking me to step down for him after he lost out at the governorship primaries,” alleging that Elumelu said he would raise another candidate to ensure that she does not get the ticket.

“My husband told me that he was approached to prevail on me to step down and that if I do not step down, another person will take over from me,” she added.
