Kwara United football club of Ilorin have been promoted alongside Wikki Tourists, into the Glo Premier League  from Group A of the Nigeria National League by a decision of the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Afonja Warriors were finally freed to advance into the elite division following the decision taken after their game against Ranchers Bees of Kaduna was abandoned.

The final 28 minutes of the game was ordered to be played in Abuja when the original fixture, tied at 2-2, was abandoned in the 62nd in Kaduna.

The 28 minute game was also abandoned with 10 minutes left to play, when the center referee awarded a penalty to the Ilorin side, leading to the disruption of the encounter.
