ABEOKUTA—The leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State, yesterday, accused the Chairman, Organization and Mobilization Committee of the party in the South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu of allegedly working against the party.
The concerned leaders under the platform of the Ogun State PDP Stakeholders’ Forum said Kashamu was an agent of the opposition, advising him to respect the party’s constituted authorities “and to stop parading himself as bigger than the party through frivolous and unfounded comments capable of causing disaffection among the PDP family.”
The concerned leaders were reacting to the reported accusation by Kashamu of the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu and the National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha of alleged plans to impose the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole as the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state.
