Foundation to partner Delta on healthcare

The Isioma Okobah Foundation has made a commitment to assist Delta State government in repositioning the health sector through the provision of affordable, accessible and qualitative health care in conformity with globally-accepted standards.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Dr. Isioma Okobah, disclosed plans to upgrade the Stephen Uche Okoh Snr. Memorial Community Health Centre, Igbodo in Ika North-East Council Area, which it built, equipped and donated to the Igbodo community.

She said under the arrangement, new state-of-the art medical equipment would be procured and installed at the health centre to promote the health needs of the people at no cost, explaining that her ultimate goal was to make the hospital a centre of excellence in medicine.

The Okwelegwe of Igbodo Kingdom, Chief Robert Agwaife, commended the initiative of Dr. Okobah in establishing the medical centre, which he said was addressing the health concerns of the people in rural communities of Delta State.
