Akure—THE leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ondo state yesterday said they are not against governor Olusegun Mimiko joining the party.
Rather, they insisted that a landlord must not become a tenant in his own house.
They were reacting to the governor’s accusation that the party in the state lacked discipline for rushing to court to halt the decision of the national secretariat of the party as regards the dissolution of the State Working Committee.
This was contained in a statement by the Party’s Organising Secretary, Afolabi Akinbowale, in Akure.
The statement said; “the attention of the party has been drawn to a recent publication wherein the State Governor was quoted to have accused the State Executive of our party of indiscipline and refusing to enforce the decisions of the highest level in the party.
“We want to correct this misgiving, the present executive is highly discipline, resourceful, young, energetic and had worked assiduously to promote the party to her present enviable height.
“The manipulation of the truth is an attempt to call dog a bad name so as to hang it.
“We had never refused to implement decisions of our leaders whenever they are given and this will not be an exemption.
