WARRI— NATIONAL President of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS, Augustine Leleji, has lauded the efforts of Mr. Alero Barlow in reawake-ning the educational consciousness of Itsekiri people.
Leleji spoke during a seminar on sensitisation and prevention of teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and Ebola Virus Diseases, EVD, organised by the office of Miss NAIS, in conjunction with Alero Barlow2015 Campaign Organisation, tagged Good Health for the Betterment of Itsekiri Nations, at Ugbuwangue, Warri.
He said: “It is only pertinent and of paramount important that Itsekiri students recognise Barlow’s effort in positioning Itsekiri indigenes.”
He explained that the seminar was an initiative of Miss NAIS, who came up with the health programme to tackle issues of teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and EVD, discussed the idea with the lawmaker who accepted to finance the project through her campaign organisation and awarded scholarship to six undergraduates.
