Bauchi—Bauchi State government has begun the distribution of Ebola test kits to public and private schools in all the 20 councils of the state.

Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Abdullahi Dabo, told newsmen, Thursday, that the Ebola test kits had arrived the state, adding that the distribution became necessary because the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Bauchi chapter, parents and guardians and school proprietors had been agitating for the kits in schools.

He said: “The Bauchi State government has trained public and private school teachers on the signs and symptoms of the Ebola Virus Disease, EVD.

“Each school would be provided necessary materials as a preventive measure. Aside from the Thermo scan, gloves, First Aid treatment boxes, soap dispensers that will be made available to all schools.”
