UMUAHIA — THERE are strong indications that efforts of the PDP reconciliation committee in the rift between former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, and state chapter of the party to allow him back to the party has hit a brick wall, following strong resistance by the leadership.

Former national chairman of the party, Chief Ahmadu Ali, led senior party officials  who constituted members of a 10-man National Integration Committee for the South East to Abia State to reconcile the party and the former governor.

The committee, which membership includes Prof. Jerry Gana, Chief Shuaibu Oyedkun, former Rivers Governor, Chief Celestine Omehia, was told by Abia PDP leadership that there was no aggrieved member to be reconciled in the state.

State chairman of the party, Senator Emma Nwaka, said Abia PDP was enjoying peace and harmony, adding that there was no need to introduce Ebola virus to harm party members.
