Resolve  issues with ASUP,  COEASU, ASUU urges FG

ABUJA — THE Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has urged the Federal Government to urgently resolve the contending issues that made lecturers of poytechnics and colleges of education embark on strike.

The ASUU President, Dr Nasir Fagge, made the call on Monday in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the state of the nation.

The News Agency, NAN, reports that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, have been on strike for 10 months now, while Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU, members have been on strike for five months.

Members of the two unions demanded that the Federal Government should remove the dichotomy between HND and degree graduates.
